Quality You Can Trust: A Farmer’s Experience with Superior Farm Maintenance
When Waianiwa Dairy Farm Limited needed help with farm infrastructure, the owner turned to Superior Farm Maintenance. Since 2024, the team has completed lane work, tree removal, and extensive drainage projects on the property.
Projects that made a difference
The first project was outlined in the winter of 2024 and was lane work around the farm’s dairy sheds. “With the lane work they did, it’s enhanced cow flow, improved our lameness and made the operating environment for our staff a lot more enjoyable” the owner states.
Independent and trustworthy
One of the things the owner values the most about Superior Farm Maintenance is their ability to work independently.” So, they work independently, which I like. And I’ve got trust in their industry expertise. They identify the problems, come up with the solutions, run them past us for confirmation, that it’s the right way to proceed and then they’ll get the job done. And they’re also good at organizing others that need to be involved, outside of their expertise. They just manage themselves to bring in the subcontractors.”
As a farm owner you are not always on site, which makes communication key.
“I can go a couple of days without seeing them, and they work independently but they all take the time and the initiative to reach out and keep me informed about what been done and the further plan. And that has been across the team too, so it’s not just relying on Matt, the operators that are on the farm reach out too.”
Trusted outcomes
In general, the owner describes his experience as “very satisfied”.
“They’ve done as they said they would. If I have to give feedback it would only be one project that started a bit later than planned, but it didn’t impact the outcome.”
This delay was simply due to
seasonal conditions and demands, and we’re proud the final result still met expectations.
With more work already booked for 2026, the owner has no hesitation recommending Superior to other farmers. “Very likely. I’ve got trust in their expertise. They do a good job, and they don’t do a half ass job. It’s a good quality job”.
